  Trin-i-tee 5:7 Recap 2008

  2009 is approaching and I'm sure many of you want to know what's enstore for Trin-i-tee 5:7 but let's take a recap. 2008 was a huge year for the ladies award shows, performances, and tv apperances the ladies were a force to be recokned with. January the ladies participated in the 23rd Annual Stellar Awards with presenting in Nashville,TN. Later the ladies came to find out they were nominated for their first grammy. but wait it didn't just stop there. The ladies performed for MusiCare which honored the great legend Aretha Franklin. Trin-i-tee 5:7 also joined Miss Franklin on the live telecast of the 50th Grammy Awards along with Bebe Winans, The Clark Sisters, and Isreal Hougton and New Breed. After the Grammys the girls received news they were nominated and will be perfoming for the Dove Awards. Trin-i-tee 5:7 album "T57" was nominated for Urban Album of the Year, and the single "Listen" was also nominated for Urban Song of the Year. During the pre-show the ladies received news that they won in both category. After winning both cateogries the ladies gave an explosive performance of their award winning song "Listen" which became the talk of the night. After the Dove Awards the girls prepared for the release of their second single "I Will Lift", it was a hit the single received heavy video rotation on Gospel Music Channel, BET, and BET Jazz. Shortly after, the ladies went back to the studio with hit producer Rodeny Jerkins of Darkchild to record new songs for their award winning album "T57" to be released later that year as a Deluxe Edition. The ladies then receieved a call to let them know they were nominated for a BET Award for Best Gospel Artist. After the BET Awards Trin-i-tee 5:7 begin preparing for the release of their single "Get Away" in August they sent single to radio and shot the video. In September the girls released the Deluxe Edition of their hit album "T57". The single "Get Away" recieved and is continuing to recieve heavy rotation on Gospel Music Channel and BET. Later in the year the ladies received their first BET Jazz Nomination and participated in Sheryl Lee Ralph 18th Divas Simply Singing benefit that raised money towards HIV/AIDS. Towards the end of the year Trin-i-tee 5:7 taped a performance for BET's Celebration of Gospel which will be airing January 25th, the ladies also announced that group member Angel Taylor of Trin-i-tee 5:7 will be co-hosting BET's new show 106 & Park presents Generation Gospel. Later rumos begin surfacing the internet that group member Chanelle Haynes was engaged to boyfriend Greg, the rumor has yet to be confirmed from Chanelle but she's been spotted at a few locations with a ring that appears to be an engagement ring.......so Chanelle please confirm to us whether it is true. The ladies close the year with a bang with at Christmas Concert in their hometown New Orleans. This concert may be in use for the promotion of their Christmas album which is rumored to be due out Fall 2009. So what's enstore for Trin-i-tee 5:7 in 2009? More awards, solo endeavours, a new album...........we'll have to wait to see, but from the way things look Trin-i-tee 5:7 will be having another sucessful year. Angel will be co-hosting her new show Generation Gospel, Chanelle maybe planning a wedding or entering the career of acting, and Adrian will be launching her own beauty line or we might just be getting a new Trin-i-tee 5:7 album. Whatever the ladies decide to do we wish them much success in 2009!!!!!

HEAR WHAT FANS ARE SAYING ABOUT "MY SOUL IS ANCHORED"

I think that it should not be the official single. I think that their remake is outstanding enough to make it a single, but the album date is slated wayyyy to late to make it the official single. If the album release was like in July or maybe August but, september is way to late for a single that was released in March. I love the traditional remake. I hope that this album will have more surprises such as those.

Trin-i-tee 5:7 has always brought the heat the song is nice but not first single material I believe a song similar to God's Grace would get the back on the charts as number 1. I pray this isnt the official single. They have to bring some heat!

Trin-i-tee 5:7 would like to thank the fans for reaching out to them. They would like for you all to know that the control of the release is not on them but its with business and label issues. They appreciate all the fans for comming out for this one and we all have been waiting on the album together. As you all may know the album is complete and finally finished. Much progress has been made and an update would be posted within a week regarding the release of the album and information about the group. You all motivate Trin-i-tee 5:7 to reach deep within and bring out what they are meant to share with the world.
